On Friday May 18th, the Riverside County Chapter BIA completed our second Desert Event of 2018. Bellatrix County Club generously hosted our attendees, comprised of more than 45 elected officials, representing over 20 jurisdictions, BIA members and guests. Several of our Chapter’s Board of Directors were present, including our Board President, Chris Edgar, of Pulte Homes. He welcomed the audience while praising the Coachella Valley for its support of the Building Industry Association. He mentioned his Del Webb project in Rancho Mirage, and how the City has been a great partner to work with.
Mayor of Palm Desert, Sabby Jonathan, led us in our Pledge of Allegiance, while Bill Blankenship, CEO of the BIA Riverside County Chapter, kicked off the announcements and extended our gratitude to all our sponsors and partners. Again, thank you to our event sponsors:
THANK YOU TO OUR EVENT SPONSORS
The energy was high during our networking portion of the program followed by a quieter, more focused audience during the presentation by Senator Jeff Stone. One attendee stated, “it’s good to see the representatives here, there are important conversations that need to be had, and this is the perfect opportunity.” All elected officials were announced over the mic with each city’s seal on the print material and PowerPoint along with our generous sponsors.
Senator Jeff Stone, along with the help of his staff, entertained and engaged with the audience throughout the event and answered several audience questions. This concluded the afternoon with Bill Blankenship wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.
Thank you again to all who participated in our 2018 Elected Officials Luncheon!
