Recognizing a volunteer of the year within the ranks of BIA Riverside County is never easy. Time and time again our members go above and beyond the call of duty in service to this Chapter.  This year we honor Brian Bush of Diversified Pacific Communities as our Clayton A. Record, Jr., 2018 Volunteer of the Year.

Brian started his career in 2006 with National CORE, an affordable housing developer, who is actively involved with the BIA Riverside Chapter. In 2009, Jeff Burum, National CORE chairman, brought Brian on board to join the Diversified Pacific Family. He started as an Acquisitions Analyst, working directly with Phil Burum, currently the Chapter President of Baldy View BIA Chapter, to assist with the acquisition and disposition of a wide range of portfolio assets for a private investment fund, which emerged in 2008, during the downturn of the housing market. Brian further advanced into the position of Director of Acquisitions; responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing new acquisitions for the Diversified Pacific Communities portfolio, as well as disposition of portfolio assets.

Brian joined Riverside BIA Leaders of Tomorrow in 2015. Being a true leader, Brian served as the Vice Chair of LOT in 2017 and is our current LOT Chair.  His commitment to being a role model for young leaders in our industry is unparalleled. Under Brian’s leadership LOT has achieved a stellar 2018 with three successful events under their belt and a fourth slated for December.  All the while he has encouraged maximum participation from the LOT Committee Members and has helped push each member to further their own excellence.

As if that was not enough, Brian has also stepped up in 2018 to co-chair the Golf Committee. Helping to usher in two SOLD OUT Golf Tournaments & Wine Tours this year.  If you catch Brian on the green, watch out--he’s got major game.

Brian has fast become a pillar in the BIA family and we can only expect continued leadership, and achievements as he continues his journey within the industry.  BIA truly appreciates Brian’s passion for the home building industry and the support he has provided for the Chapter.
