BIA welcomes Mike as one of our newest 2017 Board Members for Riverside County Chapter. Mike Taylor is an integral member of the Pardee Homes team and currently serves as Division President for the Inland Empire division. He has held this position since 2002 and has worked for the company since 1998, including positions as Purchasing Manager and Director of Community Development. In his current position he oversees public affairs, strategic planning and financial oversight of Pardee’s activities in Riverside County.
Prior to joining Pardee Homes, Mike served as Vice President of REO property for Farmers & Merchants Bank. He spent 10 years gaining valuable real estate development experience including building and selling all types of properties from commercial/retail to single and multi-family residential development.
Mike’s career in the real estate industry has spanned more than 23 years with many notable milestone along the way, including leading Pardee’s re-entry into the Orange County market as a merchant builder building small projects in Ladera Ranch, Irvine Ranch and San Clemente; acquiring seven master planned communities in Riverside and San Bernardino totaling some 20,000 residential lots; leading planning and development teams for three award-winning master planned communities--Tournament Hills and Sundance in Beaumont and Canyon Hills in Lake Elsinore; growing Pardee Homes’ Inland Empire division from 20 employees in 2002 to more than 250 in 2006; overseeing budgets, entitlements and cash flows for land development projects, and working closely with architectural teams to develop home designs. Mike’s current position with Pardee Homes allows him to work not only with city leaders and local governments, but the home buying public as well. He thrives on developing these interpersonal relationships and serving as the spokesperson for Pardee Homes. His strong background in land development and construction, plus his entrepreneurial spirit, have been instrumental in the company’s successful developments in Beaumont and Lake Elsinore.
Mike, who is a resident of Huntington Beach, received his bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California and in 2009 he completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School. Mike is an avid supporter and coach of Little League Baseball and other youth sports as well as supporter of Boys and Girls Clubs of San Gorgonio Pass and HomeAid Inland Empire. He also enjoys golf, water skiing and USC Trojan Football.
