TOMMY THOMPSON Director of Governmental Affairs Before coming to the BIA, Tommy Thompson served as the Republican Party's executive director for the County of Riverside under Chairman Jeff Miller. Tommy is well acquainted with Riverside County. He spent his childhood in Jurupa and has since made a home for his family in Temecula then in Perris and finally Nuevo. Tommy is also well acquainted with government and politics. He helped campaign for his father, Former Assemblyman Bruce Thompson, in 1993 and spent his teen ears learning first hand how government is practiced in the state of California. Prior to receiving his bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Utah; he served an internship in Washington D.C. with the Hinckley Institute of Politics. He has an Associate's Degree in Business from BYU-Idaho. Upon graduation from the University of Utah, Tommy and his wife moved back to California to work for the former state Assemblyman Ray Haynes as a field representative. From there he moved from the public sector to the private sector working for Miles Property Preservation as Vice President. Here he worked with mortgage companies nationwide preserving foreclosed properties for resale. Paramount to all his accomplishments is the establishment of his family. Tommy and his wife Ember are about to celebrate their seventh anniversary and have four children. |
