Successes


In an effort to help stem the rate of decline of the local housing market, the Riverside County BIA has approached every jurisdiction throughout Western Riverside County with a list of possible stimulus measures. A summary of stimulus measures granted by these jurisdictions is below. We applaud these municipalities for taking an active step towards improving their local economy!

City of Beaumont 02/17/2009 32%

Reduction ends June 2012.

City of Corona 05/06/2009 40%

Full reduction was in place for two years and the City Council extended it for one additional year, ending in June of 2012.

City of Manifee 05/20/2009 50%

Reduction ended June 20, 2011.

City of Perris 06/30/2009 50%

Reduction ends June 30, 2012.

County of Riverside 07/14/2009 50%

Reduction ended September 2011. Board is considering a one year extension.

Moreno Valley 09/21/2009 50%

Reduction ended December 31, 2010.

City of Banning 03/23/2010 50%

Reduction ended March 23, 2011.

WRCOG (TUMF) 01/01/2010 50%

Two year reduction ending December 31, 2011 for jurisdictions participating in reduction.

City of La Quinta 07/01/2010 72%

Council voted against proposed fee increase. Proposal was to increase fees as much as 72 percent. In effect until 12/30/11.

City of Imperial 08/01/2010 25%

City proposed $771 increase to DIF. Council voted against increase at this time.
