The Riverside County Chapter of the Building Industry Association of Southern California is looking for an organized, motivated, honest, diligent and self starting individual to fill the position of Financial Staff Assistant. The Financial Staff Assistant is responsible for; maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable, auditing monthly financial documents, updating social media and website, maintaining all office bills and contracts, event registration and cash management at events, providing excellent customer service for association members when needed, weekly bank deposits, managing investment accounts, and maintaining a related file system.
The ideal applicant must have an understanding of accounting principles and practices. The applicant must also be comfortable working in a team and an independent environment, as well as comfortable speaking in person and over the phone with association members. The applicant must be willing to occasionally work outside traditional working hours in order to attend work events.
The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. 50 WPM is preferred.
BIA-Riverside is the second largest chapter in the Southern California Region, working with over 350 member companies and 800 individuals who are actively involved in all the facets of the home-building industry. The association has a history of powerful advocacy and provides a vigorous governmental relations program. The chapter also offers a multitude of networking opportunities through general membership meetings, luncheons, seminars and golf tournaments.
