Congratulations this year’s Clayton R. Record Volunteer of the Year Award recipient, Jo Howard of KWC Engineers. Recognizing a volunteer of the year within the ranks of BIA Riverside County is never easy. Time and time again our members go above and beyond the call of duty in service to this Chapter, which I would have to say, seems much more like a family. However, each year there is someone that stands out with unmatched personal investment.
This year is no different and we at BIA Riverside County honestly can't say enough of the level of exceptional volunteerism Jo Howard routinely displays. She is a shining example of what our BIA volunteers embody. Jo NEVER misses a BIA event and always endeavors to ensure that members are taken care of. There is no situation too big or small that keeps Jo from being the first person to lend a helping hand. From her tireless efforts on the Golf Committee to the countless tedious hours serving on the Programs Committee, she somehow still finds additional time to volunteer for our sister Chapters.
Each year, Jo is involved in our regional Building Industry Show, where you can catch her playing follow the leader at the BIS Pub Crawl (not an easy job with this crowd by any means) amongst several other responsibilities. Jo's can do attitude and warm approach in service adds to the atmosphere that our members and guests have come to appreciate and expect at our events and it keeps them coming back…we have yet to determine the source of her seemingly endless supply of energy. BIA is grateful to count her amongst our most treasured volunteers.
