Chief Executive Officer
Bill Blankenship joined the team of BIA-Riverside County Chapter as Director of Governmental Affairs in March of 2000. Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to the position of Deputy Director. Bill's duties include overseeing the Riverside Chapter's governmental affairs which consist of Chapter involvement in election issues throughout Riverside County, leads both the targeting and recruiting efforts in various elections in Western Riverside County, monitors the governmental issues in the various municipalities of Western Riverside County, directs the Legislative Affairs Committee which meets on a monthly basis and plays an integral role in day to day office operations.
Bill's combination of education and extensive experience in the legislative affairs area include being both the District Director and Campaign Manager for Congressman Gary Miller. Bill also served as the Chief of Staff for Assemblyman Gary Miller. Other activities include the position of Field Representative for California State Senator Cathie Wright and Assemblyman Paul Woodruff. In addition, Bill has worked in numerous political campaigns and has served as Field Director for Cathie Wright for Lieutenant Governor, Campaign Manager for Paul Woodruff for Assembly and Voter Outreach Director for the Riverside and San Bernardino County Republican Party.
He resides in Redlands with his wife Tonja, his daughter Caroline and their Chocolate Labrador, Libby. He is a cycling enthusiast, antique collector and enjoys shooting trap and skeet. Bill has his A.A. Degree/Liberal Arts from Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa and also attended the University of California, Riverside.
Director of Governmental Affairs
Clint Lorimore is a proven local leader with a strong track record of public service and dedication to the Southern California region, particularly in the Inland Empire. Having dedicated himself to actively engaging with local communities in Riverside County, Clint successfully ran for Eastvale City Council in 2014. In addition to his service on the city council, he sits on several regional boards and volunteers with various local organizations.
Clint's Board responsibilities include serving on the Regional Council for the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) as the District 4 representative. At SCAG Clint serves as Vice Chair of the Legislative Communications Membership Committee, the Transportation Committee and the Executive Administration Committee. Clint also serves on the League of California Cities Riverside Division’s Executive Committee and Co-Chairs the Legislative Committee. As Division Director for the League, Clint also sits on the League’s State Board representing Riverside County and serves on the League’s Transportation Policy Committee. He is a member of the Riverside County Republican Party Central Committee and a board member for the Western Riverside County Regional Conservation Authority.
Previous work experience in the political arena include serving as the Deputy District Director for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, covering the counties of Riverside and San Bernardino. Clint also served as a Senior Field Representative to Assemblyman Russ Bogh and has worked on a number of political campaigns including Congressional, City Council, and Water Board races.
Clint graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with an emphasis on Public Policy and earned a Master of Arts degree from Claremont Graduate University. As a recipient of Rotary International’s Ambassadorial Scholarship, Clint also studied at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, where he graduated with a Master of Science degree.
He resides in Eastvale with his adopted black Lab, Handsome and his tabby cat Meow-Meow. He enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
Deputy Director of Governmental Affairs
David comes to BIA from Denver, CO, bringing with him seven years of experience in public policy, industry advocacy and political campaigns. David has spent the past year working in government affairs and advocacy on behalf of the oil and gas industry. Working with volunteers and elected officials, David helped to defeat two proposed anti-industry amendments to the Colorado Constitution along with several municipal level drilling moratoriums.
David has served as a Senior Legislative Aide in the offices of the Minority Leader, the Whip and the Caucus Chair of the Colorado State House of Representatives. In this capacity, David worked on policy issues including construction defects, regulation of the oil and gas industry and rules on industrial hemp.
David has also worked campaigns for candidates and initiatives at the local, state and federal levels in Colorado, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Louisiana and California.
David graduated from Grove City College with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with an emphasis on International Relations and a minor in National Security. David also spent a semester at the Arabic Language Institute in Fez, Morocco studying Modern Standard Arabic.
David is passionate about dog recue and lives with his adopted pit bull/shar-pei mix, Jake. David is also an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, trap shooting, fishing, backpacking and rafting.
Director of marketing & events
Brenda Le has over 15 years of experience in Event Management and Floral Design. With an additional two decades of Business Management and Supervisory experience in the Retail and Financial sectors. Brenda has worked in the financial sector of the building industry for 6 years. During her time with AmTrust Bank, Brenda was an active member of both the BIA-Riverside and BIA-Baldy View Chapters. She volunteered from 2004-2008 on the Golf Committee and Installation Committee for BIA-Riverside. Brenda also served as a Board Member for the Women's Council, Riverside Division. In 2008, Brenda was named the Event Chair of the RC Women's Council until her employment began at BIA-Riverside in June 2008. She was also awarded the BIA/SC 2008 Volunteer of Year for her dedication and hard work with Women’s Council. Brenda holds a Master in Business Management from the University of Redlands.
Member Services & Operations Manager
Margaret Lukman was born and raised in the Inland Empire. She attended the University of California Riverside, receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. While studying at UC Riverside, Margaret worked in the Telecommunications Department as an operator. She also became an active member of the Epsilon Pi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity. She was selected as a representative for Leadership Academy in Columbus, Ohio where she attended a rigorous leadership course. Margaret has continued her involvement through Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association and is currently serving as Vice President for Epsilon Pi Chapter House Board Advisory Committee.
Margaret has an extensive history of community involvement in the Inland Region. She has also extended her volunteer services in Mexico and in Costa Rica. Margaret has also been involved with numerous church ministries and dedicates her time to the youth and the elderly. Margaret is a member of Girl Scouts of America Alumnae Association. She received the highest honor that a woman can receive, the "Gold Award", for her Health & Safety Awareness project. Margaret has served as a District Representative for California State Assemblyman Eric Linder in Riverside County. She has also worked with California State Assemblyman Jeff Miller, 71st Assembly District. During the Jeff Miller for State Senate Campaign, Margaret served as Finance Director. Margaret is also a current member of Corona-Norco Republican Women, Federated. Most Recently, she is serving as Vice President of Membership for CNRWF. Margaret also became a member of the Marketing Committee for Peppermint Ridge which is a non-profit organization with the mission of providing loving homes and empowering support services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
She currently resides in Riverside, California with her two furkids, Angel and Po. Margaret loves animals, has a passion for food, culture and traveling, and enjoys music, outdoors, and spending time with her family.
COACHELLA VALLEY REPRESENTATIVE
The Riverside Chapter BIA welcomes Erica Harnik as our Coachella Valley Senior Representative. Born and raised in the Desert, Erica has deep ties to the Coachella Valley and is keenly aware of the unique dynamics of the region.
Erica’s parents reside in Palm Desert and are active community members. Her father owns a law firm and her mother is an elected official for the Palm Desert City Council. A Palm Desert High School graduate, avid runner, and hiker, Erica prides herself on being a well-rounded representative of the community.
Erica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Riverside. In her last quarter of college, Erica worked in the District of Columbia in the Capitol for Congressman Calvert, a 22-year veteran in office. She has taken many post-graduate classes revolving around the topics of public health and emergency management since graduating, and still engages in workshops and forums.
After returning to the West Coast, Erica started a position in sales with Bentley, Rolls Royce and Aston Martin, at Desert European Motorcars in Rancho Mirage.
Erica now resides in Rancho Mirage with her two kittens, Hamilton and Seymour and is proud to ardently represent the Building Industry Association.
In 2014, Yasmin Alvarado began as interned for the Riverside County Chapter in Program’s department while attending the University of Redlands, as a full-time student. She then transitioned to the Regional Sign Program, as the Administrative Assistant, where she strengthened her professional skills. After a little over two years, Yasmin returned to the BIA Riverside County Chapter.
Yasmin has proven her determination and committed by balancing her student, personal and professional life by completing a Bachelor’s of Science in Management degree from the University of Redlands, in half the program’s time.
She remains and active member of the Whitehead Leadership Society at the University of Redlands. She also, has used her positive personality and a bright smile to mentor young children at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Fontana, AYSO Soccer of Rialto, and at her church’s youth group.
Her most valued time is spent with high school sweetheart and husband, Scott. He has been Yasmin’s main support system throughout her studies and career changes and enriches her life completely. In her family, she is known as the “Studious “aunt because she has made it a rule of taking her nieces and nephews on educational outings. Their adventures have taken them to enjoyed the California Science Center, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Whale Watching, and the LA Zoo among others. But, Yasmin and her husband cannot wait until they start their own family together!
