Sometimes getting home is the hardest part of the day.  As one of the fastest growing counties in California, Riverside County's transportation problems are evident every day as people go to and from work.  The Riverside Building Industry Association is committed to making sure that getting home is as easy as it is rewarding.

QUALITY PLANNING MAKES GETTING HOME EASIER

The Riverside BIA and its 650 members are dedicated to quality planning for our future, which in part means, ensuring our roads and highways have enough capacity to meet our needs today and in the future. 

Quality Planning:

  • When each new community is planned, Riverside BIA members spend on average 3 YEARS and over $2 million to ensure that transportation needs are accounted for.  BIA members conduct comprehensive transportation and environmental studies before they ever lift a hammer to build a home.  

Balancing Conservation Efforts  with Transportation Planning

  • In order to ensure that roads are built and that capacity is added, Riverside BIA believed it was crucial to ensure that an environmental balance was struck.   Riverside BIA was a leading advocate for the most comprehensive environmental protection plan in the nation, the Multi-Species Habitat Conservation Protection Plan (MSHCP), which ensures that roads are built quicker and more habitat is preserved! The MSHCP allows the streamlining of transportation projects without sacrificing environmental review.

MAKING INVESTMENTS, MAKING IMPROVEMENTS

It's one thing to point out a problem; it's another to take action to fix it. Everybody realizes there are traffic problems in our county, but the Riverside BIA is taking action to make getting home easier.   Just in the last five years, Riverside BIA and its members have invested over a BILLION dollars to improve our roads.

  • $500 Million:  In just the last four years, Riverside BIA members have invested over half a billion dollars for transportation projects throughout Western Riverside County!

  • Over $1 Billion:   Riverside BIA members have contributed over $1 Billion toward  local transportation projects! 

Putting money where the problem exists, the Riverside Building Industry Association is dedicated to both planning for and solving the transportation problems facing Riverside County.
