True Success: Association Excellence Award Presented to the Riverside County Chapter of the BIA

The Building Industry Association of Southern California - Riverside County recently received an Award of Excellence in the following category from the Executive Officers Council (EOC) of the National Association of Home Builders: Best Membership Recruitment / Retention Plan Implemented.
One Association/One Membership
May was National Membership Month for NAHB and the Building Industry of Southern California held its annual spring membership drive from May 10 - 23. The theme of the drive was One Association /One Membership - welcoming new members to the association and encouraging involvement across all chapters. The drive was kicked off in grand Riverside Chapter style on May 10. Over 20 volunteers came to the Riverside BIA house and worked the phones prompting colleagues, clients and friends to join the 
BIA and support our association. Each volunteer took a three hour shift and was treated to a fantastic lunch sponsored by Julie Peterson at Residential Design Services. Riverside's Membership Committee did a wonderful job of organizing the drive and this year invited the Baldy View Membership Committee to join forces in the recruiting effort. The energy and enthusiasm in the room directly reflected in the impressive results achieved by our volunteers, over 40 new members were recruited during the six hour drive.
Overall the grand total for BIASC during the spring drive was 67 new members to the association. A list of our new members can be seen here.
